Kick the Bunny....or Goat!

So, I think that Logan has a kicking problem. On Friday night we went to a petting zoo, one filled with baby goats, sheep, a bunny, a llama, a donkey, and a couple of pigs. Logan was excited, moving from one animal to the next with barely contained excitement. Then, after a little while I guess the fun was wearing off, so he went up to a baby goat and tried to kick it not once but twice! I was embarassed. I had to drag him away and explain that if he did it again we would leave. However, I think one of the sheep took pity out on this goat, for later on he walked up behind Logan and put his head right up to the back of Logan's head. When Logan turned around, his face filled with fear and he shouted "Moo!" at the goat. It was hilarious.

Potty Time

So, I have officially begun the journey into potty training, and I can honestly say that I have no idea what I am doing. Spencer and I bought Logan a potty seat and some underpants on Wednesday. When we returned home from the store I told Logan that he could wear a pair of underwear over his diaper, in order to get him excited about them. Well, we put a pair on, and then Logan grabbed another pair and immediately began to put them on his head. It was pretty funny. I don't know where he got his idea from, but he thought it was hilarious. Now, everytime he sees underwear, he wants to put one pair on the right way and another pair on his head. I think he gets it from his dad...

P.S. Any suggestions on other methods of potty training? Or are you all as clueless as me?

Mama Owie?

So, two days ago Logan and I were playing with a couple of his stuffed dinosaurs. After a few minutes, he was sick of what we were doing and decided to throw the dinosaur at my head instead. When it hit me, I said "Ow! Logan, you hurt mommy." Then, Logan began to try and climb up into my lap. I helped him up, wondering what he was wanting, when he leaned forward and kissed me on the forehead. Then he said "Mama owie?" It was one of the cutest things, and I was amazed that this same child who was beating up bunnies a few days before could turn around and have so much compassion. So, it goes to show that despite his tantrums and whining, he still has a lot of love for me. Thank goodness! I was beginning to wonder...

You can run...but you can't hide!

So, I took Logan to my sister's baby shower yesterday, and he was such a joy. (Sarcasm) The girl who was throwing the party has a couple of bunnies, and toward the end of the party she put them in her backyard so the kids could play with them. Logan, being the ever-curious kid, decided to kick one while I wasn't watching. Luckily, his aunt Jess noticed and quickly ran to his side. After explaining that he needed to be nice to the bunnies, Logan walked over and tried to kick one again. So, Jess scooped him up and brought him over to me. Then, on the way home Logan overheard us talking about it and he said, "Bunnies?" Then he followed with a confident, "Kick!" with a huge grin plastered to his face. This he repeated a few times. What a stinker!

Blogging? I think so!

I was a little skeptical about doing this whole blogging thing, but have come to find that it is fun to have the space to share my random thoughts, even if it is only my mother reading them. At least I have an outlet for my randomness, and a page where I can show off the cutest kid in the world. But don't all moms think that theirs is the cutest? And for all of you that don't appreciate my random thoughts, you can thank Jannda for introducing me to blogging in the first place. Thanks Jannda!

Chocolate, anyone?

Oh, for the love of chocolate. How do I love thee? It's impossible to count the ways. I just wanted to shout out a tribute to one thing that has gotten me through some of the hardships in life, M&Ms. While many may wonder, only I have the power to admit that, yes, I am a chocoholic and proud of it. It is what got me through the first three months of Logan's life, and what continues to get me through the stressful times. So, I must say that I love you chocolate. If only you wouldn't add to my waistline, you would be perfect.

First Trip to the Zoo

Logan was introduced to a whole new world in April: The Zoo. Between the animals and the other kids Logan didn't know who to focus on first. Luckily, he became fascinated with the animals, and especially liked the elephants and the giraffes.

However, when it came to the gorilla statue, he was not only afraid, he was at a loss for words.

At Brandon's Wedding

Logan and I posed for the camera. Say cheese! Or, one of Logan's favorite new words, "Cheeseball!" Thanks Jamie.

I am woman, hear me scream...

I am surrounded by men... or should I say boys. Spencer, Logan, our golden retriever Koda, and even my dear cat Sadie, who currently has a complex because his name is feminine. Poor Sadie. I have been married for 5 1/2 years and have had Logan for almost two. He is our pride and joy, and without him life would be dull... or perhaps a better description is calm, quiet, and filled with mornings of sleep and relaxation. Instead it is filled with sloppy kisses, messy faces, and much more excitement and love than I ever thought possible.
