Boo! At the Zoo!

This year we decided to brave the crowds and go to "Boo! at the Zoo!" Can I say insanity? It was crazy busy, but Logan had tons of fun seeing the animals and all of the other kids who were dressed up. Here are just a few pictures of our adventure.

My Big News!

I am officially the worst blogger ever. Two months and counting since my last post. Oh, well. Sorry to disappoint the five people who read this. Anyway, I do have some news to those who don't already know. I am pregnant again with a baby boy. Spencer and I are excited, and Logan is still trying to understand why mommy's belly is getting bigger and why we keep telling him that he is going to have a baby brother. I think he is going to be devastated when he has to share the attention. Oh, well. Eventually they will be able to play with each other and he won't mind so much. I hope. Well, I am going to now add some pictures of my cute kid at Halloween so enjoy!

Dinosaur Museum

I told Logan that we would go and see some dinosaurs, so last Friday we went to the museum at Thanksgiving Point, and boy was he excited! When we pulled up in the parking lot Logan saw the dinosaur on the building and he raised his hands, clenched in fists, above his head and yelled, "Dinosaurs! Yeah!" It was hilarious. Then, when we got inside he ran all over the place, pointing to things and giving shouts of delight. He just couldn't get enough of everything around us. I loved every minute of it.
In the picture of Logan touching the dinosaur bone, I had to coax him to get near the thing because he was afraid of it. Maybe it was just the size of the thing that intimidated him.

Do blonds have more fun?

So, on Thursday I made a change. I was feeling stir-crazy and antsy, and something had to go. So, I walked into Brenda's house (my hair-stylist) and told her that I wanted to go from my very blond hair to a dark brown. She was surprised, but also excited to do this for me. She said that she doesn't get too many people who come in and do something this dramatic, and that it "takes a lot of balls" to do so. So, I am back to my roots, a brunette through and through once again. Although, my hair is a little darker that those of you who knew me pre-bleach will remember. And I love it! Plus, I have received more compliments on my dark hair than I ever did with the blond. So, as the age-old question asks, "Do blonds have more fun?" I think not!

Does Not Play Well With Others

So, Logan has developed a new love of yet another sport. Boxing. He gets these cunning moves form watching and playing none other that the Wii. I blame the creators for any future harm that my child might commit to others. I think I need to post a sticky not to his forehead whenever we go out that states "Does not play well with others." In reality, he is a sweet kid. Very loving and thoughtful. Unfortunately, he also loves his sports and plays them with a passion. Maybe all this will pay off one day when I watch him excelling in sports. His dad and uncles would sure be happy.

Happy Birthday Logan!

We celebrated Logan's second birthday, and I can hardly believe it! It seems that time truly does fly by, as the old saying goes. While being surrounded by family he opened his presents, and then he and Estee, his cousin, entertained us all by dancing to a song on the dump truck. (A lovely rendition of "To the dump. To the dump. To the dump, dump, dump!") Logan jumped up and down while Estee performed a cute hula/booty-shake. Thanks to everyone who could come and share this special day.

Quirky and Cute

Here are a few pictures of things that I have written about, such as the underwear on the head and of Logan at the petting zoo. I just don't know where he gets it from. Can anyone say Spencer? But, if I am being honest he probably gets his quirkiness from me.
